Again, Coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum’s side have lost their last three games in the league and are winless in their last five matches with two draws and three losses.

Medeama SC’s title defence suffered a jolt on Sunday following a 1-0 loss to Berekum Chelsea at the Akoon Park. The mauve and yellows have won three games and lost two of their last five matches as they sit in the fifth spot with 16 points.

Asante Kotoko’s home form has dipped in recent weeks with their last home win dating back to October 16 – when they beat Aduana FC 1-0. They have lost their last three league games and have failed to find the back of the net in three consecutive matches against Nsoatreman FC, Dreams FC and FC Samartex.

Asante Kotoko have lost two and won one of their last three meetings with Medeama SC.

The visitors will go into the game without three key players due to their involvement in the World Cup qualifiers for Ghana.

Club top scorer, Jonathan Sowah (4 goals), left back, Abdul Fatawu Hamidu, and centre back, Nurudeen Abdulai, are all not available for this game.

In their absence, Coach Evans Adotey would rely on Captain Kofi Asmah, Derrick Fordjour, Ebenezer Nkrumah, Theophilus Anobaah and Azariah Fodjour.

Asante Kotoko Coach, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, will aim to pick his first victory in close to one month. He has a fully fit squad that comprise of Kalo Ouattara, Peter Amidu Acquah, Serge Eric Zeze, George Mfegue, Sherrif Mohammed and Yussif Nurudeen Mohammed.

In other games – Berekum Chelsea will do battle with Legon Cities, fresh from their famous 1-0 win at Akoon Park. The Blues are unbeaten in their last three league games and will be looking forward to an extension of that run.

Legon Cities are winless since their 1-0 victory at home over Dreams FC on Match day seven, having lost three games, won one and drawn one in their last five league outings.

Berekum Chelsea sit fourth on the table with 16 points following three consecutive wins. Coach Christoher Ennin’s side have won three and lost two in their last five League games.

The Royals have won one, drawn one and lost three in their last five games and sit 12th in the league table.

Berekum Chelsea have played Legon Cities three times at home since 2020/21 season, and have won all the games scoring four goals and conceding one.

The clubs top scorer, Stephen Amankona, (five goals) is available to start with the likes of Zakaria Fuseini, Colins Ameyaw, Yaw Danquah, Emmanuel Essien, Frank Oppong and Flavien Kousi Kongoza all raring to go.

Elsewhere, Real Tamale United will host Dreams FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Real Tamale United currently occupies the 15th position on the league table after three wins, two draws and five defeats in the league.

With one win and three defeats in their last four away games, Dreams FC would expect a very tough battle against the Tamale lads. They currently occupy the eighth spot with 14 points.

In the Western region – Bibiani Gold Stars will play Nations FC for the first time in the Premier League.

The hosts are enduring a torrid time in the League having gone five games without victory. The Miners had their issues compounded by Aduana FC on Matchday 10 as they were whipped 3-0 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Nations FC, who are yet to record a victory in their last five away games, are 13th on the table with 11points and have won two and lost three of their last five matches.

The game will be played at DUN’s Park at Bibiani.
