Kulmase BECE candidates want supervisor removed
Some of the candidates, of the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at Kulmase D/A Junior High School in the Sawla/Tuna/Kalba District of the Savannah Region, are appealing for the immediate removal of the supervisor from their examination centre, claiming the supervisor has been wicked to them.
This was when the supervisor, who happens to be the Assistant Headmaster of Tuna Senior High/Technical School, allegedly refused to grant a candidate the permission to go out and urinate during the examination on Tuesday.
The female candidate (name withheld) had no alternative than to urinate on herself, after her persistent pleas were turned down by the supervisor.
The candidate was reported to have immediately collapsed after the unfortunate episode, and was quickly rushed to the hospital.
Some of the candidates, who were furious about the behaviour of the supervisor, rained insults on him.
They also claimed that the supervisor had been putting fear into them and refusing any of the candidates to approach him for things in the exams hall.
All efforts to get reactions from the District Director of the Sawla/Tuna/Kalba proved futile, as their phones were out of coverage area.
However, source close to the district indicated to the Ghanaian Times that the matter was under investigations.
