National Chief Imam Appoints Alhaji Osumanu as New Executive Secretary

The National Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheikh Dr Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has appointed Alhaji Osumanu Seidu as the new Executive Secretary of the Office of the National Chief Imam with immediate effect.

In a statement issued and copied to The Ghanaian Times, Sheikh Dr Sharubutu explained that the appointment was made to fill the administrative gap created by the passing of the former Executive Secretary, Alhaji Awaiso Bio.

Alhaji Osumanu’s appointment has been communicated to key government and religious offices, including the Ministry of Local Government, Religious and Chieftaincy Affairs, the Office of the Chief of Staff, Jubilee House, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Heads of Diplomatic Missions, Regional Imams, and Heads of Islamic Sects and Organizations.

The statement highlighted that Alhaji Osumanu has extensive experience, having worked closely with the former Executive Secretary for many years. He is therefore expected to bring continuity, institutional knowledge, and expertise to the operations of the office.

Sheikh Dr Sharubutu emphasized that the new Executive Secretary is expected to uphold the highest standards in the discharge of his duties, maintaining the sanctity, integrity, and credibility of the Office.

The Chief Imam wished Alhaji Osumanu success in his new role, praying that Almighty Allah grants him diligence, dedication, and commitment to perform his duties to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

Alhaji Osumanu also boasts impressive academic credentials, which complement his practical experience in supporting the Office of the National Chief Imam.
