Niroy Flairs Creative Institute holds 2nd graduation

NIROY Flairs Creative Institute, Agona Swedru, has held its second graduation ceremony, highlighting the importance of promoting Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for the country’s transformation.

The Chief Executive Officer of the institute, Mrs Dorinda Yankson, noted that the apparent neglect or lack of support for the TVET sector was a disservice to achieving the nation’s developmental goals. She called for increased support and investment in the sector to make it more attractive for individuals interested in pursuing TVET programmes.

The ceremony, held under the theme, “From Skills to Success: Empowering the Next Generation of Beauty Professionals,” saw 180 trainees graduate after completing professional training in cosmetology, hair technology, and fashion, earning National Proficiency Certificates One and Two, as well as National Certificates.

Mrs Yankson observed that the training opened a world of possibilities for the trainees.

“It has transformed them into professionals ready to shape the future of the beauty industry. I urge you to uphold the values of integrity, hard work, professionalism, and respect for every client who sits in your chair,” she stated.

She said, “At Niroy Flairs Creative Institute, we recognise that skills form the foundation of opportunity; however, it is purpose, confidence, and professionalism that transform those skills into meaningful success.”

Mrs Yankson also stressed the growing opportunities within the beauty and wellness industry, noting that the training equips graduates to either start their own businesses or pursue further professional development. She stressed the need for continuous learning to remain relevant, saying, “You have discovered that beauty is not just about appearance; it is about transformation.”

In his address, the District Chief Executive for Agona East, Samuel Oscar Mensah, encouraged the graduates to explore greater opportunities in their chosen fields while contributing to community development.

Mr Wilberforce Kwesi Ogyana, a representative of the Central Regional Office of the Ghana Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Services, commended Niroy Flairs for its contribution to TVET.
