 Otto Addo’s men for Sudan double-header

 Coach Otto Addo has called up 25 players for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.

Defenders, Alexander Djiku and Gideon Mensah, are back in the squad after missing out on last month’s qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

FC Samartex left back, Isaac Afful, has been handed a debut call up after an impressive performance in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League and the ongoing Premier League.

Olympique Lyon forward, Ernest Nuamah, and Ibrahim Sulemana of Atalanta have also made a return to the squad after recovering from injury setbacks that kept them out of last month’s qualifiers.

Ghana will play Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thurs­day before travelling to Libya for the reverse fixture at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benina, Libya, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

The full list of players are Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Joseph Wol­lacott, Frederick Asare, Tariq Lamptey, Kingsley Schindler, Al­exander Dziku, Abdul Mumin, Mahammed Salisu, Jerome Opoku and Alidu Seidu.

Others are Gideon Mensah, Isaac Afful, Thomas Partey, Ibrahim Sulemana, Majeed Ashimeru, Elisha Owusu, Mohammed Kudus and Ibrahim Osman.

The rest are Ernest Nuamah, Isshahaku Abdulai Fatawu, Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Joseph Paintsil, Brandon Thom­as-Asante and Inaki Williams.
