The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ghana, Abdalfatah A.K. Asattari, on Saturday distributed bags of rice to about 200 individuals in Accra. The gesture was a mark of gratitude to the government and people of Ghana for their support and friendship with the Palestinian people.

Making the presentation at the Embassy in Accra, Mr Asattari, who is scheduled to leave Ghana on December 24 after an 11-year duty tour, expressed profound appreciation to the government and people of Ghana, describing the country as his “second home.”

He noted that such gestures were part of his duty as an envoy to strengthen the strong bilateral relationship between Ghana and the State of Palestine. The Ambassador highlighted that the Embassy has consistently extended similar initiatives to Ghanaians over the years.

Mr Asattari said he would always cherish his fond memories of Ghana, praising its people for their commitment to peace, social justice, and religious tolerance.

Dr Abubakar Mohammed Marzuq Azindoo, Personal Assistant to the National Chief Imam, commended the Ambassador for the gesture and reiterated Ghana’s dedication to interfaith dialogue and co-existence, emphasizing that these values have earned Ghana global recognition.
