PIWC Ablekuma honours officers of church in Accra
Church leaders have been urged to remain resolute in their calling and continue to serve the Lord in truth and faith.
The District Pastor of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Ablekuma, Pastor Abraham NimakoBoateng made the call during the church’s appreciation service in Accra over the weekend.
The service was to honour officers of the church for their devotion and service towards the kingdom mandate.
Speaking on the theme: “Honouring the officers of PIWC Ablekuma (1 Thessalonian 5:12-13), Pastor Nimako-Boatengsaid God required mankind to honour church leaders and hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work.
According to him, Jesus Christ request honour from mankind because he himself received honour and glory from God.
Pastor Nimako-Boateng said church leaders often times were faced with challenges yet they sacrifice their life in propagating the gospel to the world.
He encouraged Christians to show love to church leaders and cherish them saying God honour those who honour him, and disdained those who despise him.
He also entreated church leaders to live a pleasing life so that they could seek the face of God.
“God wants us to have a life that’s honourable because an honourable behaviour brings honour to God and dishonourable behavior brings dishonour to God. He honours those who serve him and so never turn away from him and continue to keep your days and focus on him,” he stated.
Some of the church officers who spoke in an interview with the Ghanaian Times expressed gratitude to the church for their support and encouragement in doing the works of the Lord.
They promised to work hard to draw more souls for Christ and live by the standards of the Church in loyalty and in faithfulness.
As part of the service, the officers were rewarded some gifts for their deserving contributions towards the kingdom mandate.
