Sgt Nana Nabin murder case: 3 discharged
The Tamale Magistrate Court yesterday discharged three out of the six people standing trial for the murder of the late Sergeant Agatha Nana Nabin.
The three who were discharged by the court based on the advice of the Attorney-General’s Department are Hakuna Alhassan, Mayan Nashiru and Samuel Atutiga.
However the court has remanded the other three persons, Anas Issahaku, Zulika Abduallah and Issahaku Yakubu (Kanbon-Naa), into prison custody, to reappear on October 24.
Sgt Nana Nabin was murdered while on duty at checkpoint at the outskirts of the Sangnarigu municipality of the Northern Region by some armed men.
A day after the incident the six were arrested and processed for court.
The family members of the three who were discharged by the court jubilated immediately after court proceeding.
