Tullow Ghana organises workshop for journalists
Tullow Ghana has organised a two-day oil and gas capacity building workshop for journalists in the Western Region, at Kgyebir in the Ahanta West District.
The workshop, was aimed at schooling participants on what pertains in the oil and gas sector and in-depth understanding of terminologies.
The resource persons came from Aberdeen Drilling School.
Tullow Ghana’s Takoradi Area Office Manager, Mr David Nyante opening the workshop, said it was significant because it was the first time since the drilling of oil started in Ghana 12 years ago.
He commended journalists for their the cordial relationship between them and Tullow Ghana, and for effectively reporting on oil and gas activities .
Mr. Nyante said the capacity building workshop reflected the company’s commitment to local training for not only its employees, but stakeholders such as contractors and suppliers.
