TYB league resumes today
The Creator School baseball team climbed to the top spot of the on-going Tema Youth Baseball (TYB) League after the first round of four games played.
They are separated from the second position team, Top Royals Community Club by 2 runs.
However, both teams have nine points apiece on the table.
St Paul’s Methodist School baseball team is third on the table also with nine points but with inferior runs.
Celestial School Complex follows in fourth position on three points with just a run to their credit while Tema Ridge School occupies the bottom spot with no point and a deficit of minus 41 runs.
In the second week games played at the Kofi Nimo Park in Ashaiman, St Paul beat Creator by 9 runs to 5; Royals secured 13 runs to 12 over Celestial while Celestial gained a walkover feat against Tema Ridge which failed to turn up.
Weeks three and four games were played at the Community 7 Chemu Park in Tema.
Creator beat Celestial by 8 runs to 1 and Royals by 8 to 5 runs. Royals earlier beat St Paul by 8 runs to 4 while St Paul had their game against Tema Ridge called off.
The second round of games would resume today at the Community 9 Park in Tema with the league expected to end on March 30 at the Community 7 Chemu Park in Tema.
