Wantu club show class in Homowo playing cards
Favourites, La Wantu Playing Cards Club, over the weekend defeated Peaceful Club by 1,970 to 1,740 points to book a place in the quarterfinals of the ongoing RAD Homowo Unity Playing Card Competition at La Manjaanor.
Wantu dominated the first three hours of the game with Peaceful mounting a strong comeback in the final two hours, but failed to overtake the leaders.
Capacity Playing Cards Club also earned a spot at the quarter finals stage with a 2,620-points victory over Ava Club, who bagged home 2,020 points.
The final matches of the preliminary stages will take place on Sunday and will have Advance Club face Third World while Mandela Club take on Flying Eagles for a slot in the quarterfinals.
The Chairman of the RAD Group and sponsors of the tournament, Mr Raymond Addai-Danquah, commended the players for the performance so far and fans for their comportment within the period of the competition.
