4 red cards as Nsoatreman stun Kotoko

Substitute Gabriel Bonnah scored the only goal of the game to hand Nsoatreman FC a 1-0 win over Asante Kotoko at the Nana Kronmansah Park, yesterday.
The hotly contested game saw four red cards shown – three for Kotoko’s skipper, Justice Blay, goalkeeper, Mohammed Camara and Kyei Dwamena and one for Stephen Diyou of the home side.
Stand-in coach Andy Sinason introduced attacker Bonnah and with virtually his first touch of the ball, blasted home the only goal past substitute goalkeeper, Benjamin Twum, in post for Kotoko.
Nsoatreman FC held onto the lead to land them their fifth win of the season.
Meanwjhile, Skipper Joseph Esso’s decisive strike inspired Dreams FC to a 2-1 victory over visiting Basake Holy Stars in their Ghana Premier League game played at the Tuba Astro Turf yesterday.
Abdul Razak Salifu opened the scoring on 42 minutes only for Emmanuel Kwame to draw level on 53 minute with Esso grabbing the winner three minutes later.
Dreams FC was the second weakest side at home in the league and needed the win to improve upon that record.
As usual, they got off to a shaky start, allowing the visitors to take charge of the opening exchanges and dictated the pace.
However, Coach Karim Zito’s side warmed themselves into the game and after some missed opportunities, they finally found the opener when Salifu slipped the ball past Patrick Appiah in post for Holy Stars to send the handful of spectators cheering.
Back from recess, a momentarily loss of concentration at the back saw Emmanuel Kwame drawing Holy Stars level.
Inspirational and experienced skipper of Dreams FC, Esso, proved to be the tormentor-in-chief all afternoon and brought his experience to bear on the game when he picked the ball and went past his marker before shooting home to restore the lead for his side.
Dreams FC managed to hold on to the lead to pick all three points.
