Black Maidens gear up for WAFU B U-17 championship

The Black Maidens are gearing up for the WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup with three friendly games at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.

The team would first face Rootz Sistaz today in a game expected to test the battle readiness of the team as they prepare for the games.

Exactly two days later, speciafically Friday, Epiphany Warriors would also test their resolve for the season with a high profile friendly.

The three-game friendly line up would be wrapped up after facing off with with Sissamba Ladies on Sunday.

Head Coach of the team, Joe Nana Adarkwa, is looking to fine-tune his team’s prepara­tions for the tournament, which is set to take place on Decem­ber 12-26 at the same venue at Prampram.

Ghana will host the maiden edition of the WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup, and the Black Maid­ens are ready to make a strong impression.

The team has been drawn in Group A alongside Benin and Burkina Faso.

An FA statement stated that these friendly games will be crucial in preparing them (Black Maidens) for the competition ahead.
