‘Collapse of Christian principles spells doom for society’
The Parish Priest of the Christ the King Catholic Church at Effiakuma in the Sekondi-Takoradi Diocese, the Reverend Father (Fr) Martin de Porres Hattoh, has cautioned that the collapse of Christian principles would spell doom for society.
He advised Christians to abide by the rules and regulations of Jesus Christ to promote peace and harmony.
Rev. Fr Hattoh, who was delivering a homily to the faithful of Christ the King Parish last Sunday, reminded Christians that their words and actions would determine the true character.
He asked Christians to build a formidable society towards peace, harmony and development.
Rev. Fr Hattoh said “every tree shall be known by the fruits it produces. Good trees yield good fruits.”
He said evil was always planned in advance and executed in later times by evil-minded people, warning that this should never include the Christian community.
Rev. Fr Hattoh indicated that “Christians must always think of good plans, and God will assist them carry out those good plans to the better development of the nation.”
He stressed “good ideas come from good people, and evil ideas come from evil people, because evil people are always out to destroy and seek only what will benefit them”.
