Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana to represent WAFU B at CAF African Schools Football Championship Finals

Slots for the much-anticipated CAF African Schools Foot­ball Championship Finals are gradually filling up, as Africa’s largest youth football competition approaches its continental finals set to take place in 2025.

Following the COSAFA Zonal Unions clinched by South Africa in both the Boys and Girls divi­sions, the WAFU B Zone recently conclude its Zonal Qualifiers in Niamey, Niger with Cote d’Ivoire crowned champions in the boys division, while the girls will be represented by Ghana.

After two highly successful seasons, the CAF African Schools Football Championship is once again in full swing, with thousands of teenage boys and girls under the age of 15 contesting for a place in the continental finals across CAF’s six Zonal Unions.

The CAF African Schools Football Championship is a first in world football and continues to set global trends as the only youth football competition that has far reaching numbers, with this sea­son’s edition set to reach over 800 000 African boys and girls.

As in previous editions of all Zonal Qualifiers, CAF working closely with its Zonal Unions held capacity Building programmes that ran concurrent to the qual­ifiers where aspiring coaches, referees, young reporters and medics all underwent development programmes by CAF.-CAF

2nd Place: Benin

3rd Place: Ghana

Fair play: Niger

GIRLS

1st Place: Ghana
