KNUST Engineering students tours Zonda Tec Ghana

40 engineering students from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology paid an educational visit to Zonda Tec Ghana to harness their technological careers to enable them become innovative leaders.
In a deliberate manner to give insights about engineering, Zonda Tec welcomed the students from Kumasi to its cutting-edge headquarters in Tema as a means of providing them knowledge to excel on the global job market.
Coupled with practical education, the tour witnessed these students being briefed on Zonda’s twin assembly plants that serves as a move that signals a transformative shift in automative education and talent development in Ghana.
Schooling the students, Ms. Vivian Zhao, Deputy Managing Director of Zonda Tec Ghana indicated that, it was important for students to experience on-the-job knowledge in order to enhance their theoritical knowledge with practical expertise.
According to her, Zonda Tec Ghana is not just about assembling vehicles but also prides in assembling a generation of leaders, engineers and innovators.
Adding that, students are supposed to be given more practical training and Zonda Tec is ready to help achieve this initiative by investing in minds, and not just machines.
She explained that, the Zonda Automative Excellence Academy which serves as a talent factory has served as a powerhouse of practical, world-class technical education for students across the nation.
“Some of its trainees are students from Ho Technical University, Don Bosco Technical Institute, KNUST Engineering scholars, and even graduates from Koforidua Technical University”, she said.
In a remark, Managing Director of Zonda Tec Ghana, Ms. Yang Yang underscored that, Zonda has strong partnership across five major universities and over 500 professionals already trained.
On her part, Zonda Tec is not only driving industrial growth, but also poised for redefining corporate social responsibility through education, empowerment and economic transformation by enhancing students with valuable skills.
She explained that Zonda Tec Ghana’s vision showcases the catalytical power of private sector investment in technical education.
