Manager confirms interest for Hearts’ Salifu Ibrahim
Following his impressive performance since joining Hearts of Oak, midfielder Salifu Ibrahim has become a target for scouts representing clubs in Africa and Europe.
Mr. Benedict Asiedu, manager of the diminutive midfielder confirmed to the Times Sports in an interview that Salifu has been the target of many top clubs.
He, however, maintained that the player remains a Hearts of Oak player and any decision must have them heavily involved.
“There are a lot of offers for Salifu both from Europe and Africabut as of now he is a bonafide property of Accra Hearts of Oak. He has a contract with the club and we have to respect it.”
Despite the interest for the player, he indicated that none of those clubs have officially written to the club so as far as Hearts is concerned, there is no offer on the table for him.”
“Hearts has given Salifu the platform to showcase his talent and we respect them for that. We want to see Hearts qualify into the group stage of the CAF Champions League. That will present a bigger platform for the players to showcase their skills,” Mr. Asiedu said.
He said playing in the CAF Champions League with Hearts means a lot to the player and that he cannot wait for that opportunity.
