Ogilvy Africa names new Regional Creative Director
Ogilvy Africa has named Brett Wild as its new Regional Creative Director.
He takes over from Joao Espirito Santo, who is moving back to Portugal for a new assignment.
In his new role, Brett will be expected to spearhead the Pan-African agency’s quest to deliver award-winning and effective communication work for clients in line with growing demand for strategic communications services especially by global multinational brands now present in Africa.
Announcing the appointment, Ogilvy Africa Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mathieu Plassard in a statement said, “We are delighted and honoured to welcome Brett Wild to Ogilvy Africa at a time when the agency is going through a period of renewed creative growth and integrated communications delivery for Pan-African clients.”
The CEO said Ogilvy Africa had picked Brett as the new Regional Creative Director because of his global creative work experience as well as his exposure to transformative communication.
“This is critical for us as we lead the market into offering more integrated communication campaigns to our clients,” Mr Plassard said.
Brett has over 30 years’ experience in the advertising industry and is described as having the right mix of insight, humour and gumption that is only found in true leaders of the industry.
Brett has previously worked at Ogilvy & Mather in Johannesburg as an Art and Creative Director.
He has also worked at Hunt Lascaris, Saatchi & Saatchi South Africa, Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore, Hammersmith & Elephant Productions, and Avatar (Digital Agency).
At Saatchi & Saatchi South Africa, he won numerous accolades and awards including extensive Loeries and Cannes Golds, and at Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore, he mentored agencies in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, and took the Singapore office to the top three in the network.
