Parents, students laud Karaga MP for educational support

Parents in the Karaga Municipality of the Northern Region have commended the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Dr Adam Mohammed Amin, for his continuous support in paying the school fees of their wards across tertiary institutions in the country.
They said the MP’s intervention has significantly raised the standard of education in the municipality.
Speaking at a disbursement ceremony in Karaga on Saturday, a beneficiary parent, Afa Hussein Abdul Rahman, noted that through the Anta Educational Fund, Dr Amin has supported students with amounts ranging from GH¢10,000 to GH¢1,000 in various fields of study at universities nationwide.

“The MP has not only paid students’ fees but also built and supplied educational materials to schools in the municipality,” he said, adding that parents would continue to pray for Allah’s guidance for him.
He appealed to beneficiary students to use the support solely for academic purposes.
Presenting the support on behalf of the MP, his aide, Mr Abdul Halim Tikumah, disclosed that GH¢400,000 had been disbursed to 323 students.
Since its inception, the fund has supported close to 5,000 students.
He explained that the initiative was established by Dr Amin to fulfill a campaign promise made in 2019, stressing that education was the backbone of development.
He urged students to study hard to uplift the image of the municipality.
A beneficiary, Sulemana Yussif, expressed gratitude and assured the MP that they would work hard to excel academically and contribute to local development.
