Build trust in health system to tackle NCDs – Dr Addai
Ghana joined the rest of the world to mark this year’s World Patient Safety Day with a call for stronger healthcare systems that build patients’ trust to improve early detection and management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
The Head of Medical Services at FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital, Dr Francis Addai, who made the call during a panel discussion to mark the day said, Ghana’s growing NCD burden required more than responding to rising disease figures.
He said it required collective efforts to build trust in the healthcare system and make patients more willing to seek care, follow medical advice and remain engaged in their treatment. Read More
