New Black Queens coach names squad for Morocco training camp

 Newly-appointed Black Queens Coach, Kim Lars Björkegren, has named his first squad for a preparatory training camp in Morocco, where the team will play a training match and an international friendly against the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco.

Army Ladies’ Adama Alhassan, FC Epiphany Warriors’ Safia Salifu, Kumasi Sports Academy’s Kerrie McCarthy, and Ampem Darkoa’s Comfort Yeboah have been named in the squad list for the trip.

The quartet has earned their call-ups following exceptional perfor­mances with their respective clubs in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.

Also in the squad is winger Josephine Afua Kyerewaa Bonsu from Carl Zeiss Jena in the German Women’s Bundesliga. Josephine’s performances have made her a key player for her team, including providing decisive assists and goals in recent games. She brings vast experience to augment the team’s ef­fort upfront ahead of the upcoming Women’s African Cup of Nations.

Captain Portia Boakye, Justice Ama Tweneboaa, Jennifer Cudjoe, Doris Boaduwaa, Princella Adubea, and Evelyn Badu have all been named in the squad.

The Black Queens will embark on a training camp in Morocco, playing training matches and an internation­al friendly against the Atlas Lioness­es of Morocco.

This training camp marks the beginning of a new era under Coach Kim Lars Björkegren.

The players invited are Cynthia K. Fiindib, Kerrie Mccarthy, Safiatu Salifu, Anasthesia Achiaa, Justice Tweneboaa, Adama Alhassan, Sher­ifatu Sumaila, Susan A. Duah, Portia Boakye, Comfort Yeboah, Nina Norshie, Jennifer Cudjoe, and Grace Asantewaa.

The rest are Azumah Bugre, Jacqueline Owusu, Evelyn Badu, Stella Nyamekye, Doris Boadiwaa, Gifty Assifuah, Alice Kusi, Princess D. Marfo, Jo­sephine A.K Bonsu and Prince­lla Adubea. – Ghana­fa.org
