C’ttee announced for Okwawu Utd @50 celebration

As part of preparations to mark the 50th anniversary celebrations of Division One League (DOL) club, Okwawu United, an anniversary planning committee has been inaugurated.
The members would supervise the organisation and implementation of a road map outlined for the Golden Jubilee celebration of the traditional club.
As one of Ghana’s most prestigious football clubs, Okwawu United plan to celebrate with a number of carefully planned activities with former club officials expected to play lead roles.

Members to serve on the committee include Mr Oduro Nyarko, a former club secretary, Mr Daniel Kwame Dankwah, the club’s General Manager, Mr Kingsley Adofo Addo, a former Board Member and Mr Prince Asare Amoako, the club’s Secretary.
The rest are Mr Emmanuel Akoto Bamfo, Mr Henry Larbi, who serves as a Representative for the Club President and Krontihene of Mpraeso, and former Premier League Board (PLB) Chairman, Welbeck Nana Abrah Appiah.
The committee has been tasked to create a thorough plan that guarantees an unforgettable celebration of Okwawu United’s past and accomplishments.
Okwawu United have been in top form this season as they seek to regain qualification to the top level of Ghana football after over a decade in the lower tier league.
They currently sit in third position on the zone 3 league log of the ongoing DOL with five points adrift leaders, Hohoe United.
