New NTC MD calls for teamwork, ownership

The National Media Commission (NMC) has appointed Dr Isaac Okpoti Nai as the new Managing Director of the New Times Corporation (NTC), publishers of The Ghanaian Times and The Spectator.

Dr Nai was formally introduced to staff in Accra on Friday during an engagement organised by the Board.

Addressing the gathering, he expressed appreciation to workers for “holding the fort” and contributing to the growth of the corporation.

He outlined his leadership philosophy, anchored on professionalism, integrity and teamwork, and called on staff to embrace a sense of ownership in their work.

“You need to work as though the company belongs to you. You are not doing it for me, take ownership. Let’s work as a team,” he stressed.

According to him, such an approach would help the corporation grow and remain sustainable. He also urged staff to respect time and meet deadlines.

Dr Nai appealed to employees to play their roles effectively to add value to the organisation.

The Board, led by Prof. Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo, expressed confidence in the new Managing Director and wished both him and staff success in the years ahead.
