Show unchallenged allegiance to party–Joe Ghartey

The Minister of
Railway Development, Joe Ghartey has admonished the youth not to defect from
the New Patriotic Party (NPP) but show allegiance that cannot be challenged by
the hierachy.
“There’s no party that can offer the
citizenry unique opportunities to improve their lives than the NPP and we must
not allow our political opponents to derail opportunities of our party,”
he cautioned.
Mr Ghartey was
addressing the Greater Accra Regional youth wing of the party’s meeting
to bridge the gap between the party’s top hierarchy and foot soldiers. The meeting was organised by the
Regional Directorate of the party on the theme, ‘Bringing the government to the
doorstep of the youth’.
The meeting which forms part of ‘Agenda
maintain and increase’ of
the regional youth wing was aimed at working to retain power of the NPP in
Election 2020.
It also coincided with the inauguration of
various committees set up for Election 2020 victory, donation of two cars and
two motorbikes to some constituency youth organisers and the Regional Tertiary
Students Confederacy (TESCON) secretariat of the NPP to facilitate their
activities for the party.
Mr Ghartey noted that the youth must remain focus so as not to be derailed by their political opponents to attract more youth to the party by showing discipline, being law abiding and creating opportunities within the party.
“Our maintain and increase can only be achievable if we remain focused, disciplined and law abiding to attract the youth from other parties and floating voters to retain the president and the party in 2021,” he advised.
Moses Abor, the Regional
youth leader of the party, charged all regional constituency youth
organisers to engage government appointees on relevant issues regarding the
party and not to rely on naysayers to involve in actions and inactions that
would not inure to the benefit of the party towards the 2020 elections
“We will not allow anybody to come and
destroy our future, we are going to work hard to support and assist the
presidency to remain focus towards a
successful and peaceful 2020 elections,
I believe President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and the NPP will be in power for 20 years and beyond and I urge youth groups of our party to rally behind them
for that resounding victory in 2020,” he stressed. -peacefmonline.com
