Stars arrive in Mali for WC qualifier
The Black Stars have arrived in the Malian capital of Bamako for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Eagles of Mali tomorrow at 7 p.m.
The team flew out of Ghana at exactly 4pm yesterday and checked into the 4-star Radisson Collection Hotel, Bamako.
According to the team’s schedule, Head Coach Addo and his charges will have an early morning shake-up today before holding the mandatory training at the Stade du 26 Mars in the evening.
Coach Addo and his charges are keen on redeeming themselves from the matchday two setback against the Comoros, which pushed the Stars to fourth position on the six-team table after two games.
The team began their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Madagascar in Kumasi and subsequently suffered a shock of 1-0 defeat to Comoros in Moroni.
A point from the game will keep Ghana’s hopes alive of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be hosted in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The Black Stars will return to Ghana to play the Central African Republic on Match Day 4 on Monday
