WAAF Agro Limited supports 2025 National Farmers’ Day celebration
WAAF Agro Limited, a key importer and distributor of agricultural inputs,on Friday donated items valued at GH¢40,000 to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) in support of the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration scheduled for 5th December 2026 in Ho, Volta Region.
The donation forms part of the company’s longstanding commitment to honouring Ghana’s farmers, having consistently supported Farmers’ Day activities at the district, regional and national levels.
The Managing Director, WAAF Agro Limited, Mr Wofa Kwadwo Addo, noted that the company’s mission to make soil- and crop-specific inputs accessible and readily available to farmers across West Africa aligns with national efforts to strengthen agrifood systems.
He assured farmers of continued access to high-quality inputs designed to improve productivity and enhance livelihoods.
He commended Ghanaian farmers for their dedication in sustaining the country’s food supply chain.
Mr Addo called on other agribusiness stakeholders to emulate WAAF’s gesture, stressing that collective support is essential to ensuring a successful and meaningful Farmers’ Day celebration.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Mr Eric Opoku, the Chief Director of the Ministry, Mr Paul Siameh, expressed appreciation to WAAF Agro for its consistent support and recognition of farmers’ contributions to national development.
He noted that the donated items would present the items to award-winning farmers on the day of the celebration and assured that the company’s contribution would be duly acknowledged.
Mr Siameh encouraged more private sector partners to join in supporting the nation’s farmers, emphasising that their commitment remains vital to strengthening Ghana’s food security and agricultural resilience.
