At least 4,574 healthcare facilities in 135 districts nationwide have commenced full implementation of the free primary healthcare policy (FPHC), Health Minister, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, announced yesterday.
The facilities comprise 3,780 community-based health planning and services (CHPS) compounds, 746 health centres and 48 polyclinics, with the policy expected to reach all 150 districts targeted in the first phase of implementation, by end of the year. Read More
