All set for Ketasco ’96 homecoming
All is set for a major homecoming celebration to mark 30 years since the 1996 year group of Keta Senior High School (KETASCO), known as Dzolali ’96, completed their studies.
The three-day event is scheduled for July 3 to 5 at the KETASCO campus in Keta in the Volta Region.
The reunion is expected to celebrate life’s journey, unity and togetherness, as members reconnect three decades after leaving school.
A statement issued by the organisers said the gathering would offer old students the chance to relive cherished memories, reconnect with former classmates and rekindle long-standing friendships.
The celebration will be held on the theme: “30 Years of Impact: Honouring Our Legacy, Shaping the Future Through Innovation.”
Activities will begin on Friday, July 3, with a convoy departure from Accra to Keta, followed by a welcome cocktail reception on arrival.
The day will also feature interactions with current students and a night of music on the school premises.
On Saturday, the highlight of the celebration will be the commissioning and handing over of a newly built 12-seater ultra-modern washroom facility for the girls’ dormitory, alongside an anniversary durbar.
The day’s programme will also include a lunch with invited guests, a dinner dance and other activities.
The celebration will climax on Sunday with a thanksgiving service, during which participants will express gratitude for a successful event and safe participation.
The organisers have called on all members of the year group, both in Ghana and abroad, to return and take part in the celebration.
They said the reunion would not only be a time for reflection, joy and renewed bonds, but also an opportunity to contribute towards improving teaching, learning and living conditions in the school.
According to the organisers, the event promises moments of celebration and reflection as Dzolali ’96 marks three decades of impact and shared success.
