CPP embarks on mobilisation drive to register more youth ahead of 2024 polls
The Convention People’s Party (CPP) is beginning a mobilisation drive to attract more youth ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The party said it was poised to offer alternative choices to the youth who were yearning for change.
In an interview with journalists in Accra yesterday, Nana Kumamakuma Frimpongmaa, the Chairperson of the CPP, said that the CPP would be a third force to reckon with.
“Politics has become so monetised. How can you get the system to work? CPP’s time has come again, and we must make the best of it. That is why it’s not just about fighting the system, it’s not just about even taking a populist stance,” she said.
“But the main importance is to get people to be part of and own the party at the polling stations in the electoral areas. That is why we are presenting the youth. It’s the youth who are ready for change. They want Ghana to be fixed,” she added.
On September 21, the CPP promised to construct ultra-modern hospitals in all districts across the country if it wins the 2024 general elections.
Addressing the media at an event held by the CPP to commemorate Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day, Nana Yaa Gyantuah, the General Secretary of the party, said that the construction of hospitals in every district will curtail the inability of patients to access health facilities in some remote areas, thereby improving the healthcare system in the country.
