Ga Rural Bank commiserates with Ga Traditional Council
The GA Rural Bank PLC, on Tuesday presented assorted items and cash donation to the Ga Traditional Council in Accra, as part of its support for the funeral of the late Paramount Queen of the Ga state, Ga Manye Naa Dedei Omaedru III (Tso Wulu Efa).
The Board Chairman of the Ga Rural Bank, Mr Fred Tetteh, who led a delegation from the Bank’s Head Office at Amasaman in the Ga West Municipality in the Greater Accra Region, on behalf of the management and staff signed the book of condolence to commiserate with the Ga state on the demise of their paramount queen.
The items presented included 10 packets of bottled water, four bottles of Schnapps and undisclosed amount of cash to support the funeral activities.
Mr Tetteh in a short remarks, described the late paramount queen mother as one who had contributed to the development of the Ga state, hence the Ga Rural Bank’s motivation to assist in giving her a befitting burial through their widow’s mite.
Like other institutions operating in the financial space in the country, the Ga Rural Bank PLC, he said was providing full financial services to its host communities.
The Ga Asafoatse, Nii Mankatah VI receiving the items, expressed gratitude to the Ga Rural Bank PLC for the gesture and used the occasion to present a copy of the funeral brochure to the bank, and officially invited them for their full participation in the event.
He stated that, as part of funeral and what culture demands, from October 15 to October 29, events such as parties, naming ceremonies and any other related events would halt.
Nii Afutu Afrakajah, thanked the Ga Rural Bank for their donation and also entreated the general public to help make the funeral a success.
The late queen mother would be laid to rest on October 23.
