Ghanaian doctor based in Germany donates medical equipment to NE/R health facilities
A Ghanaian medical doctor based in Germany, Dr Abass Ganiu, on Thursday presented medical equipment to the Member of Parliament for Walewale Constituency in the North East Region, Hajia Lariba Abudu Zuweira, for distribution to the health facilities in the area.
The items included the hospital beds, furniture, fridges, plastic aprons, cardiac monitors, and masks and used clothing.
Dr Ganiu presenting the items said the gesture formed part of his philanthropic work to assist health facilities in the area following a request from the MP, who is also the Minister of Gender, Children and social protection
Hajia Zuweira, expressed appreciation to Dr Ganiu for his benevolent and philanthropic work, adding that items had come at the right time and would go a long way to help enhance the healthcare delivery of the hospitals in the area.
Meanwhile the MP also donated six motorbikes to the health facilities in the Constituency she procured from her allocation of the MP’s share of the Health Insurance Fund.
The North East Regional Minister, Mr Yidana Zakaria, on behalf of the health workers of the facilities thanked Dr Ganiu and the MP for the donations.
