Give more qualified Muslims chance …to contribute to nat’l devt – Alhaji Osman

The Executive Secretary of Tijjaniya Muslims of Ghana, Alhaji Khuzaimah Osman, has commended President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress for making record number of appointments from the Muslim community.
He, however, appealed to the President to appoint more qualified Muslims, who are in obscurity, for them to have the opportunity to contribute to national development.
Alhaji Osman, who is also a member of the Greater Accra Regional Peace Council, made the appeal on Saturday in a solidarity message at the annual National Ramadan Conference, held at the National Mosque in Accra.
The conference was held for stakeholders to discuss and arrive at the date for the start of Ramadan 2025.
While commending the President, Alhaji Osman said: “there are two important personalities whose contributions before and during the 2024 election was very loud and vivid and they are executive members of the party as well.”
“These individuals are qualified just like any of their colleagues in government today, and permit me to mention Dr Alhaji Ahmed Abdullahi Zakaria, popularly known as Alhaji Samson Kwakwa, who holds a doctoral degree in business and two other Masters degrees and he’s currently a lecturer at GIMPA and the Islamic University College.
The second person is Dr Salisu Muhammed Mas-oud, who holds Master’s degrees in the whole country, I mean 11 Master’s degrees and one doctoral degree in business administration.”
He said the “Appointment of these NDC party officials who are also respected members of our community would inspire a lot and encourage many others especially the young ones to pursue academic degrees while serving their party and nation.”
