‘HO 66 Artillery Regiment not offering jobs to SHS graduates’
THE 66 Artillery Regiment in Ho has made it clear that it is not offering jobs to senior high school graduates into the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Central Band.
An official statement issued by the unit on August 31 said that the regiment’s attention had been drawn to a social media post with a picture of the Commanding Officer, Lt Colonel Edward Sarpong Appiah, offering job to senior high school graduates into the Ghana Armed Forces, precisely the Central Band.
The statement said that: “We wish to state emphatically that neither Commanding Officer nor any of his staff officers were recruiting into the GAF Central Band or any unit into GAF.”
“The public is by this notice advised to desist from dealing with any such individuals or groups portraying themselves as recruitment agents,” the statement cautioned.
For the avoidance of doubt, the statement said, GAF did not employ middlemen or charge fees for its enlistment of recruitment.
“The public is advised to report any individual or group that seek to use the name, picture or appointment of the Commanding Officer to the offer recruitment offer to the nearest military or police station or call 0243682659,” the statement added.
