NPP PC for Adentan Constituency commissions road, bridge project

Akosua Asaa Manu, popularly known as Kozie, and the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Adentan constituency, has commissioned two infrastructure projects to improve the lives of her constituents.

The projects, a newly constructed road at Lakeside Container and a reconstructed footbridge at Amanfrom Zongo, were funded through her personal resources and some partners in and out of the constituency to address long-standing challenges faced by the community.

The Lakeside Container road, previously plagued by muddy and impassable conditions, has now been transformed, bringing immense relief to residents who struggled to use the route, especially during the rainy season.

The second project, a footbridge linking the Zongo community, has replaced a dilapidated structure that had become a death trap.

Speaking during the commissioning, Akosua Manu who also serves as the Deputy CEO in charge of Administration and Finance at the National Youth Authority, reaffirmed her commitment to the development of the Adentan Constituency.

She explained that her interventions were driven by her passion for community service rather than political gains.

“I constructed the bridge not because of votes or to check if the residents here support the NPP, but because it was heartbreaking to see people using such a dangerous bridge,” she said.

Residents expressed their heartfelt appreciation, noting the positive impact the projects have already made in their daily lives.

Many praised her leadership, highlighting her ability to identify critical needs and act decisively to address them.

She also addressed concerns about the absence of the sitting Member of Parliament, suggesting that her numerous initiatives were fulfilling roles that ought to have been tackled with the MP’s common fund.

She urged residents to remember her dedication to their welfare as they cast their votes in the upcoming elections.

“My focus is on improving the lives of the people in this constituency. I believe in bringing development to the doorstep of every resident, regardless of their political affiliation,” she added, urging constituents to vote massively for both herself and the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia,” she said.
