Okere MP-elect thanks constituents, calls for hard work

 Mr Daniel Nana Ad­do-Kenneth, Member of Parliament (MP)- elect for the Okere Constitu­ency, has expressed gratitude to the constituents for their support and votes.

He was particularly grateful to Mr Dan Botwe, the incum­bent MP for the area, for his guidance, mentorship and unflinching support through­out processes leading to his election.

“I remain eternally grateful to God and to Mr Dan Botwe, who has been a mentor and father-figure through all these years

Speaking in an interview with the GNA, the MP-elect noted that the party’s expecta­tions were not met, however he would not disappoint them given the trust reposed in him.

He reiterated that the NPP had laid a solid infrastructure in Okere through the indefatiga­ble MP and promised to build on it.

He called for hard work and commitment from the rank and file of the party in the next four years.

The MP-elect who happens to be the Okere District Chief Executive, started his politi­cal career as a polling station Executive, became the Okere­Constituency secretary for nine years and subsequently ap­pointed as the first Okere DC

He won the parliamentary primaries to replace Mr Dan Botwe, who stepped down from contesting and has always maintained that he would stand on his legacies.

Prior to the elections, Mr Dan Botwe, endorsed him and rallied support behind him to take over the seat from him.

He said his hard work, from being the Okere NPP con­stituency secretary through to becoming the President’s nom­inee for the position of the DCE was evident and enough proof that he had experience and ready to represent Okere in parliament.

Mr Botwe, a former Gener­al-Secretary of the New Patri­otic Party (NPP) and Minister of state leaves parliament in 2025 after serving four-terms and a total of 16 years as the Okere MP for the party.
