2024/25 GPL season to begin Sept. 6
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has set September 6 for the commencement of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
The new season will as usual feature the Ghana Premier League, Women’s Premier League, and the Division One League.
According to the Competitions Department of the Football Association, clubs are expected to submit strips to be used by August 15, 2024.
“Premier League, Women’s Premier League, and Division One League Clubs are to submit their squad lists latest by August 17, 2024.
It said the deadline for the closure of the Competitions Management System (CMS) for squad list uploads has been fixed for August 30, 2024,” it said.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s national Under-20 male team, the Black Satellites, have returned home after concluding a three-week training tour of Europe.
The players and officials arrived in Ghana on Friday, July 19, 2024.
Head Coach, Desmond Offei, and his 22-man squad embarked on trips to France, Belgium, and Holland three weeks ago in preparation for the 2024 WAFU B U-20 tournament.
The Black Satellites featured in a series of training matches geared towards trimming the rough edges of the team ahead of the sub-regional youth championship.
The Ghanaian team has returned home to continue preparations ahead of the 2024 WAFU B U-20 tournament.
The Black Satellites have regrouped since their Gold winning feat at the All Africa Games.
