Anlo Dukor Council commends President for Dr Asiamah’s appointment
The Anlo Dukor Council has expressed gratitude to the President, John Dramani Mahama, for the appointment of Dr Johnson Asiamah as the Governor of the Bank (BOG).
The appointment the Council stated was deserving and commended the President for his commitment to upholding competence, experience and integrity in key national appointments.
This was contained in a statement issued yesterday and signed by the Awadada of the Anlo Togbui Awusi II, on behalf the Awormefia of Anlo, Togbui Sri III.
It said Dr Asiamah’s track record as a seasoned economist and Central banking expert made him the ideal choice to lead the BoG at this crucial moment.
“His wealth of experience, particularly in monetary policy formulation and financial sector stability is a valuable asset that will guide Ghana economic recovery and ensure a resilient financial systems,” It added.
Moreover, it noted that despite the politically motivated attacks and the baseless allegations that have trailed him over the years, Dr Asiamah had remained steadfast in his commitment to serving the nation.
“His exoneration and subsequent appointment are a testament to his competence and unwavering dedication to National Service,” it noted.
The Anlo Dukor Council in the statement backed their ward, Dr Asiamah, with full support as he embarks on his mandate to steer Bank to Ghana towards economic stability and growth.
The Council, therefore, urged all well meaning Ghanaians to rally behind him as he work to restore confidence in the financial system in order to promote sound economic practices and programmes for the overall wellbeing of the nation.
The statement expressed optimism that under the stewardship of Dr Asiamah, the BOG will regain its strength and full mandate to the people of Ghana.
