Apostle Charles Kwame Atsugah Attipoe laid to rest

It was a solemn moment of grief and sorrow as families, Church members, and sympathisers paid their last respects to the late Apostle Charles Kwame Atsugah Attipoe, the late Administrator of the Apostles Revelation Society (ARS), whose mortal remains were laid to rest in a private burial after a service at the Church premises at Tadzewu-Gbedzi in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region.

The late Apostle Attipoe, who was the last of the 17 Apostles commissioned by the late founder of the Church, C.K.N. Wovenu, died at the age of 94.

The ceremony was interspersed with dirges from the various choirs that attended the service.

Reverend Israel Attipoe, reading his father’s biography, said his father had spread the gospel and established several new chapels across the length and breadth of the places to which he was posted, and with the help of other Apostles, managed to expand the membership.

He indicated that his father was a peace-loving philanthropist who exhibited high moral standards, taught them how to care for and love one another, and assured that they would uphold those principles in honour of his memory.

The MP of the area, Mr Edem Agbana, said the late Apostle was more than a father who stood and lifted him up in his difficult times and that he would forever be grateful.

On his part, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr Bernard Ahiafor, said the late Apostle had paid his due by sacrificing himself for the progress of the Church despite the challenges and tribulations.

The First Deputy Speaker, on behalf of the National Democratic Congress party, presented cash donations of GH¢101,000, being contributions from the Presidency, the National Chairman, the Deputy Speaker, the MPs, and the Municipal Chief Executives.

Apostle Worlanyo Adabra, in his sermon, stated that the late Apostle had paid his due and “now beholds those he left behind to keep his flame of fire burning through constant prayers as he unites with his Maker.”
