Economy expands by 6% in Q2 – GSS

Ghana’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 6.0 per cent in the second quarter of 2026, compared with 6.6 per cent recorded in the corresponding period of 2025, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has reported.

The report, presented by the Government Statistician, Dr Alhassan Iddrisu, in Accra yesterday, also showed that real non-oil GDP growth stood at 5.4 per cent in the second quarter of 2026, down from 8.5 per cent recorded in the same period last year.

It said the services, industry and agriculture sectors were the major contributors to the real GDP growth during the period. Read More
