Foster unity among party members – UK NPP urges newly elected executive officers.
The United Kingdom (UK) Chapter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged the newly elected national leadership of the party to foster unity among members now that the elections were over.
According to the chapter, this would help create a strong NPP fraternity both internally and external branches in order to retain power.
This was made known in a congratulatory message copied the Ghanaian Times and signed by the Communications Director- UK branch, Mr Kwaku Bimpeh.
It commended the Chairman Stephen Ayensu Ntim for his resilience, consistency and his perseverance which led to his victory after four failed attempts.
“Consistency, hard work and resilience are embodied throughout his journey to achieve what he has perhaps dreamt many times of becoming the NPP Party chairman.
“Congratulations once again Chairman Ntim, You have inspired us all, and yes dreams do come true, through resilience, perseverance and hard work, ” the UK Chapter of the NPP said.
It expressed the hope that if Chairman Ntim, Justice Frimpong Kodua (JFK), Henry Nana Boakye and Salam Mustapha lead the remobilisation and refocus the most valuable proletarian grassroots members, the party would be well placed to secure a win for the presidential elections in 2024.
The Chapter referenced the speech by the General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua , that it said was ecstatic to listen to JFK because as “a fresh voice and a source of encouragement for many across the length and breadth of our great NPP tradition.”
It described JFK as the new energy, brand and paradigm the party had so yearned for adding that his caution for the executives to desist from campaigning flag bearer aspirants was legitimate.
Touching on the flagship programmes of the party the statement read “It will be disingenuous for any Ghanaian to suggest either those flagship programmes were not needed, nor asked for?”
“Same as it will be disingenuous for public sector workers employed by the government who had access to their wages and benefits throughout the COVID- 19 period to counter argue. We are all in this together,” it stated.
The UK Chapter in the statement mentioned that the return of Ghana to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) had ignited jupitarious conversations both in Ghana and globally.
