Suspect wielding gun during Maamobi NPP/NDC clash grabbed
Fatawu Ibrahim, also known as “Fatau Motorway,” has been arrested in connection with the disturbances between New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters at Maamobi, Accra.
According to a police statement, Fatawu was identified in video footage wielding a gun during the clashes, which resulted in two people allegedly being shot and injured.
The police said it will give GH¢20, 000 reward to anyone who assists with the arrest of the suspect captured on video with a gun during disturbances between NPP and NDC supporters, at Mamobi, Accra.
The police said personnel were on a manhunt for the suspect, identified as Fatau Motorway, who had been declared wanted.
The police appealed to the public to support police intelligence-led efforts by providing information that could lead to his arrest.
