Busy Internet installs free internet in 4 Divisional Police HQs
Busy Internet, an internet solution provider has installed free internet connectivity in four Divisional Police Headquarters located in Accra.
The connectivity which would last for one year formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibility in communities where they operate.
The beneficiary
Divisional Headquarters are Adentan, Madina, Kaneshie and Amasaman.
The Head of Marketing of Busy Internet, Thomas R. Brien-Mensah, speaking after
the installation at the Adentan Divisional Headquarters said the gesture was
part of Busy Internet’s effort to support the police fight vices such as cyber
crime.
He said the company received a request from the Adentan Police for assistance to improve upon their internet services.
Mr Brien-Mensah said, touched by the contents of the letter and knowing how an improved connectivity could help the police improve security, they decided to add three more divisions to make it four.
He said the initiative would be extended to other divisional commands within the Accra and Tema regions to support the development of communication in areas they operate.
The initiative, he explained would help the police process their documents with speed.
The Kaneshie Divisional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Faakye Kumi on behalf of the divisions commended the company for the gesture and urged other corporate organisations to emulate the example.
A fast internet solution for the police, he explained would help fast track their activities for improved security.
“We are in a paper less age where everything is done on-line, a bad network would greatly hamper our services and we are very grateful,” he added.
