Central, Western regions GBA boss congratulates new GBA executive
The President of the Central and Western Regional Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Mr Twintoh Walker has congratulated the newly elected president of GBA, Mr Abraham Kotei Neequaye and the executive of the authority.
Mr Walker also praised the former GBA boss, Mr Peter Zwennes for supervising the successful congress and elections.
In a statement, he expressed confidence in the new executives and assured his readiness to support them in their bid to take boxing to the next level in the regions.
Mr Walker advised the new executive to give attention to the regions, especially the Central and Western regions that have talents in abundance.
He urged the executives to liaise with the regional executives to set up amateur boxing leagues for communities, schools, security services, adding that it will go a long way to facilitate a smooth transition of amateur boxers into the professional ranks.
Mr Walker wished the former presidents, Lawyers Peter Zwennes and Moses Foh-Amoaning well in their future endeavours and urged them to support the new administration which he believes has the wherewithal to build on the gains chalked by their predecessors.
