EcoGlass targets 24-Hour Economy Policy for growth …as it begins operations

ECOGLASS Ltd, a Ghanaian-owned glass processing and aluminium solutions company, has officially launched its operations in Ghana with a commitment to deliver high-quality yet affordable glass products while positioning itself to take advantage of opportunities within the government’s proposed 24-Hour Economy Policy.

The company, located off the Adenta–Aviation Road in Accra, said it was preparing to align its operations with the policy to boost productivity, expand manufacturing capacity and contribute to job creation within Ghana’s growing construction and real estate sectors.

Managing Director of EcoGlass Ltd, Richard Kobla Borluvie, disclosed this during the official launch of the company’s operations and product line in Accra.

He noted that EcoGlass was determined to play a leading role in Ghana’s industrialisation drive by leveraging the policy to strengthen production capacity and enhance government’s 24-Hour Economy framework to strengthen productivity and competitiveness within Ghana’s manufacturing sector.

“We proudly align with the national agenda of the 24-Hour Economy Policy Initiative and are eager to support and benefit from the policy to drive economic growth, create jobs and foster industrialisation. We aim to be the first company in the glass processing industry to adopt this policy,” Mr Borluvie said.

EcoGlass Ltd is a modern Ghanaian enterprise providing sustainable glass processing and aluminium fabrication solutions to a wide range of clients including real estate developers, government agencies, architects, fabricators, contractors, and homeowners.

The company offers specialised services such as glass tempering, lamination, cutting, double glazing, and professional installation. It also produces customised glass solutions for windows, doors, partitions, balustrades, and shower enclosures, alongside durable aluminium frames for doors, windows, curtain walls, and structural glazing.

Board Chairman of EcoGlass Ltd, Daasebre Afome Dankwa, described the launch as a significant step toward strengthening Ghana’s local manufacturing base and supporting broader economic transformation.

According to him, the establishment of the company reflects a deliberate effort to build local industrial capacity and add value within the country.

“The launch of EcoGlass is not only a milestone for the company, but a statement of purpose and a declaration of Ghanaian industrial ambition,” he said.

The event was attended by stakeholders from the construction and manufacturing industries, as well as government officials.

Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Mrs Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui, who served as guest of honour, commended EcoGlass for aligning its operations with national economic transformation strategies.

She encouraged the company to explore opportunities within the government’s 24-Hour Economy framework.

“I urge and commend EcoGlass to operate within government’s 24-hour economy framework. While not all businesses run round-the-clock today, exploring this opportunity could unlock productivity, deepen investor confidence and give Ghanaian manufacturing a competitive edge,” she said.

The Deputy Minister also highlighted the importance of Ghana’s improving macroeconomic conditions in supporting manufacturing growth.

“For those in the manufacturing sector, currency stability directly affects your operations. It influences your ability to import raw materials, plan production and maintain supply chains. Today’s economic landscape offers a platform for companies like EcoGlass Ltd to thrive,” she noted.

EcoGlass said it was committed to integrating modern production technologies and environmentally responsible practices into its operations, while maintaining a customer-first approach that prioritises quality, efficiency, and affordability.
