GMABC’s Head of Marketing wins Purple Award

 Bridget Mensah, Head of Marketing, Communi­cation, Public Relations and Events at Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC), has won the presti­gious Purple Award at the 2024 Ladies in Media Awards (LIMA).

The award is the night’s high­est honour, recognising excep­tional women leaders in African media.

The 3rd edition of the Awards was held under the theme: ‘The Power of Represen­tation,’ with nominees from Gha­na, Togo, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and other African nations.

The ceremony honoured women across sixteen categories, celebrating excellence and female leadership in the media industry.

Dr Timothy Karikari, Direc­tor of Broadcasting at GMA, called the recognition well-de­served one.

In her acceptance, Ms Mensah said the award inspires her to “continue pushing boundaries and creating meaningful con­tent.”

The award recognises her out­standing contributions alongside

 fellow nominees, Apeffie Nfojoh from Ghana and Nyaradzo Ma­kombe from Zimbabwe, celebrat­ing women who have demon­strated exceptional leadership and innovation in the media sector across the African continent.

“I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition and grateful to Ladies in Media for highlighting the important work women are doing in media across Africa,” she stated.

“This award inspires me to continue pushing boundaries and creating meaningful content that represents our diverse voices,” she said.
