Immigration Ladies win at last
Immigration Ladies ended their winless run in the ongoing Normalisation Committee (NC) Special Women’s Competition with a 1-0 away win against Samaria Ladies at the ATTC Park in Kokomlemle on Wednesday.
Striker Patience Narh tapped home from close range in the 46th minute to secure their first win.
Boosted by the introduction of former Black Queens skipper, Grace Adjoa Bayor, the Immigration side was a far improved team than the one that played the previous games.
Bayor sprayed the turf with her sublime passes and managed to push the team into their opponents’ territories; one of such moves put Narh in a good position to score the only goal.
In the other group D game played at the Tema Community 4, Halifax Ladies defeated leaders Police Ladies 3-1 in the upset of the day’s matches.
Group C leaders, Sea Lions beat Soccer Intellectuals 4-2 at the Ndoum Stadium with Hasaacas Ladies drawing 1-1 with Ladystrikers at the Gyandu Park.
At the Army Park, Prisons Ladies whitewashed Pearlpia Ladies 5-1; Northern Ladies drew 1-1 with Ampem Darkoa Ladies in group B; Ash Town Ladies in group A secured a 1-0 win over Fabulous Ladies whiles Supreme Ladies and Kumasi Sports Academy settled for 1-1 draw in the group’s other game.
