The Black Princesses will play their second pre-World Cup friendly against South Korea’s U-20 women’s team as part of the build up to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup (WWC) on Tuesday.

South Korea presents an opportunity for Coach Yussif Basigi to further asses his team after drawing goalless with Mexico in their first international friendly on August 22.

The game will be played at the Centro Deportivo Choquenza in Bogotá 8:30pm.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup will kick off in Colombia on Saturday, August 31.

Ghana is paired with Austria, New Zealand and Japan in Group E.

The Black Princesses will open their campaign against Austria on September 2 before taking on Japan and New Zealand in the other Group matches.

Meanwhile, the registration window for the Ghana Premier League (GFA), Access Bank Division One League (DOL), Women’s Premier League (WPL) and the Regional Football Associations (RFAs) closed yesterday, a statement from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has said.

The transfer window is in accordance with the GFA Regulations which makes provisions for the opening of registration before commencement of the football season.

The closure, according to the statement, meant that all participating clubs in the Ghana Premier League, Access Bank Division One League, the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League and the Regional Football Associations had to complete their signings before yesterday’s deadline.

It reminded the clubs that there would be no extensions of the deadline. –Ghanafa.org
