FirstBank commended for commitment to community service

FirstBank, a universal bank in the country, has been commended for its
commitment to community service, which is helping accelerate the development of the country.
“Your efforts in uplifting the community and supporting various initiatives do not go unnoticed,” The Presiding Bishop of the Victory Bible Church, Bishop N.A Tackie-Yarboi, stated during the FirstBank thanksgiving service at the Victory Bible Church.
Bishiop Tackie-Yarboi encouraged the bank to keep up the good work to make difference in the communities in which the bank operates.
“As you continue to grow and thrive, may you always remember the importance of giving back and being a beacon of hope for others,” he stated.
The event served as an opportunity for the Bank’s leadership, staff, and community members to come together in appreciation for the blessings and successes of the past year.
The service was filled with uplifting worship, inspiring testimonies, and moments of reflection, as attendees expressed their gratitude for the guidance and support received throughout the year.
The thanksgiving service featured a special prayer session, where attendees prayed for the continued success of the bank and for the well-being of its employees and clients.
Victor Yaw Asante, The Managing Director/Chief Executive officer (CEO) of FirstBank, in his addressed, emphasised the importance of gratitude in both personal and professional life.
He stated, “As we gather here today, we reflect on the challenges and triumphs of 2024. It is essential to acknowledge the support we have received from our clients, partners, and the community. Our success is a testament to the collective effort of everyone involved. We are thankful to God for His guidance and blessings, and we look forward to continuing our mission of serving our community with integrity and excellence in the coming year.”
FirstBank Ghana is part of the First Bank Group of Nigeria Limited, which celebrated its 130th anniversary last year and operates in the U.K., Nigeria, DRC, Ghana, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Senegal, and China.
