Former SWAG president dead

 Mr Ackah Anthony, former president of the Sports Writ­ers Association of Ghana (SWAG), has passed away after a brief illness.

He died in the early hours of Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Police Hospital in Accra.

His death was confirmed to the current SWAG execu­tives by his wife, Mrs Evelyn Ackah.

Mr Ackah Anthony who was the former assistant editor of the Graphic Sports newspaper served as the 6th president of SWAG from 2007 to 2015.

He is survived by his wife and four children.
