Fredrick Anderson Foundation advocates support for less privileged in society

THE Founder of the Fredrick Anderson Foundation (FAF), an Accra-based non-governmental organisation (NGO), Mr Fredrick Anderson, has appealed to privileged individuals and organisations to consistently extend support to the less fortunate in society.
According to him, there are many vulnerable people who require assistance, and government alone cannot adequately meet their needs.
He therefore emphasised the importance of cooperation from benevolent members of society to help improve the lives of the needy.
“It is important that those of us whom the Lord has blessed also take the opportunity to bless others who do not enjoy the same level of support we have,” Mr Anderson stated.
Mr Anderson made the call when his foundation, in collaboration with Customer Risk Management Limited (CRM), organised a party for over 300 widows and needy children at the foundation’s premises in Dansoman last Saturday.
Dubbed “Let’s Together Put a Smile on Their Faces,” the event formed part of the foundation’s Christmas edition of its annual get-together activities for vulnerable groups in society.
Beneficiaries, drawn mainly from Dansoman Agege and surrounding communities, were treated to sumptuous meals, assorted drinks, and uplifting gospel music.
Addressing the media after the event, Mr Anderson explained that the Christmas edition was a key component of the foundation’s activities aimed at bringing joy and relief to the needy within the community.
He revealed that although the foundation initially planned to cater for 200 beneficiaries, the overwhelming turnout compelled them to extend support to over 300 people.
Mr Anderson further noted that the initiative, which was originally instituted to mark the Easter season and promote love and compassion, was later expanded to include the Christmas festivities.
Additionally, he announced that the foundation’s upcoming “Back to School Support” programme was on course.
The initiative, he said, would provide underprivileged children in and around Dansoman with school uniforms, books, and other essential educational materials.
On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of Customer Risk Management (CRM) Limited, Mr Eric Kweku Wilson, expressed his delight at partnering with the Fredrick Anderson Foundation to support the needy.
He explained that the collaboration formed part of CRM’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to social development.
Mr Wilson added that the partnership between CRM and FAF was intended to be a long-term one, aimed at improving the welfare of the needy while contributing to sustainable community growth.
